Re: Does anyone know if this works on Excursions?

I'd guess it wouldn't since our trucks are not designed to be upfitted with a PTO.

Re: Does anyone know if this works on Excursions?

An Auto Idle Control (AIC) can be installed on an Excursion. Check the General Aftermarket forum. I think there have ben several people add them. As for a control integrated wiht any PTO functionality, as was already said, Excursions don't get any PTO provision as you can get with the SD's.

Do you have a specific use for it?

Re: Does anyone know if this works on Excursions?

Mainly for the A/C in the summer in Tx when I pull over to fill up and run in the store on hwy trips, and when we move to Co, the winters there. I know the X's don't have a PTO option. Is this wiring the same though? Is there a wiring diagram the shows these being different from the X to a truck with PTO option. This is s really simple and cheap way to elevate the idle.

Thanks

Re: Does anyone know if this works on Excursions?

Check your PM's.

Also search here in the general aftermarket forum. A lot of good info is sometimes overlooked here when a search will find a ton. TDS search sucks, only if you don't look at search tips and search the right way.

Re: Does anyone know if this works on Excursions?

The factory AIC for the pickups works great in the X. I wired mine in and it works flawlessly.

Re: Does anyone know if this works on Excursions?

I don't have any pics, but I got the information from a post here a long time ago.

The AIC ony requires 4 wires to hook up.

Switched power
Ground
Data line
Data line

The data lines are contained in the twisted pair right behing the OBDII plug. It was VERY easy to wire up. Let me try and find that post that gave the wire colors and connections.
