Drip at transmission drain Plug

Is there a o-ring or gasket at the Tranny Drain Plug?? I have a slight drip that is real annoying, and I want to repair. If so, what do I get to fix it? Since I will probably drain the tranny I am going to put in a Diablosport valve as well. What tranny fluid do you recommend, and how much do you think I will need? Re: Drip at transmission drain Plug

I don't remember what sort of gasket the plug has but, you can put some thread sealant, gasket shellac or teflon tape on the plug.

Most will recommend a synthetic tranny fluid. Mobile 1 or Amsoil.

The system holds 18 quarts. If you do the Mark K. fluid change method, you will waste about 2 quarts, so buy 20.

Draining the pan only gets you 7-8 quarts.
