Driver`s Seat Comfort ?

Have any of you purchased a 2003 or 2004 Limmited X and have the driver`s seat cause back pain.My 2004 Limited has leather interior and the lowest seam on the seat back feels like someone has there finger stuck in my back and is not very comfortable. The lumbar is at its lowest setting and is worse if I increase the lumbar suuport. Just wondering if anyone else has experieced this. Thanks Davis

Re: Driver`s Seat Comfort ?

My XLT seats are just fine. I'm 6', 175lbs. maybe I'm "standard".

Re: Driver`s Seat Comfort ?

Yup, I noticed this yesterday on an 8 hr drive to Eugene, OR.
I think it may just be a LTD or EBauer issue. I'm hoping it will "soften up" though...It is only a week and a half old!!!!
I don't know why they went back to horizontal pleats...

Re: Driver`s Seat Comfort ?

Blake; My pleats are horizontal, we out there with the older X's have alittle of that tufted in the pleats compared to the newer (boring) flat panels on the later trucks.

Re: Driver`s Seat Comfort ?

My XLT cloth seats make me feel like I'm falling out the door. No support by my left hip. I have to constantly scoot to the center.

Re: Driver`s Seat Comfort ?

I've noticed EXACTLY what you are talking about; however, I was able to move the seat to a more comfortable position...

Now I can be in the thing for hours upon hours without discomfort.

Re: Driver`s Seat Comfort ?

Thanks for the replies.I am glad I am not the only one that is bothered by this seat. I have had this X for almost 3 months and I thought I was going to have to visit a chiropractor until I drove another vehicle I have for a week and the pain went away.So I knew then it was the seat in my X causing the pain. I am going to try one of those massaging seat cushions and see if that helps. Thanks Davis
