Dually X?

This though came across my mind, would anyone modify an X to make it a dually?

I know there is one guy around here who customized an older Suburban by adding a different axle and fenders and voila, a dually.

I know someone could just go buy a CC dually but if someone wanted it for luxury and looks I am betting it could be done.

It would probably look nice.

1986 F-250 XLT Reg cab, 8' bed, 6.9L Banks Turbo, 4-speed, rebuilt T/C, 3" straight exhaust. Custom/home made 2"x4" square, tubular steel headache rack, Husky box, Meyer 7.5' plow (with 3/4" grade 8 steel wear blade, got it from a county truck ) The original working diesel. Not new, but I own it.

UApilot - probably just be a matter of time before someone takes that leap (maybe someone already has). Perhaps as a way of increasing towing stability.

Ads regularly run in the back of truck magazines (e.g., Four Wheeler) which tout kits to make your Ford, Chevy, or Dodge SRW into a DRW. Most of the kits I've seen really are no more than a special hub set for the wheels and a set of big fender flares - they don't modify the axle.

Just got the February 2001 edition of Truck Trend magazine in the mailbox today. There is an article on a dually conversion v-10 gasser. Check the trucktrend.com website also as they may have an article there as well.
