Dynamat

I did a search, and couldn't find any posts about this stuff by an EX owner---a few by SD owners----any of you EX guys do anything about soundproofing, or sound deadening your trucks??? I'm thinking about Dynamatting my EX, and would appreciate some input from anyone w/experience!!!

Re: Dynamat

I thought the Excursion already came with a lot more sound deadening material than the pickups? That would certainly explain why SD owners have been talking about mats but Excursion owners haven't.

From both the quieter engine and the additional sound-deadening, our Excursion is so much quieter than our '97 CC that it never occurred to me to look into it.

Re: Dynamat

Aces full, It would probarly be cheaper and faster to have the underneath coated with the rubberized bed liner, applied thick engough it would have the same effect. I have been waiting for a buddy of mine to do it for me, and I will let you know. mike

Re: Dynamat

I dynomatted my entire Bronco when I had it. I haven't done it to the Excursion, though. I'm getting subs installed in the rear doors this week and we'll probably use dynomat to seal the doors before we go the fiberglass route. Fortunately, I had two boxes of the premium dynomat left over from when I did the Bronco a couple years back.

Re: Dynamat

Did you do anything to your EX? My Ex Limited has more rode noise then my 99 PS SD CC Lariat. I thought it was because of the Firestone A/T tires, but the new Michelin M/S are not much quiter. I also am looking at a way to reduce cab noise.
