Had a code "check engine light" come on cause i was installing the 10k mod and didn't see it come on when I turned it over ( wiring is correct now ) . Is it possible to erase the check engine by disconnecting the batteries

Re: erasing codes

I use to turn the light on alot with over boosting, and would disc. both overnight before going to the dealer and they never said anything about any codes.

Re: erasing codes

I clear the CE light on my X all the time. Open the fuse block and pull fuse #2, which clears PCM Keep Alive Memory.....may be different on differen year models, mines a 2000. Check your owners guide and find the fuse for PCM Keep Alive Memory and remove it for about 30 seconds. No more CE/SES light....
