Excellant Service

Purchased the PP III for the X today from Dallas DIS office. The customer service I received from Gary was nothing less than awesome. He knew I was heading out of town and offered to re program it right their in the parking lot, by the way it was in the low 20's today in Dallas. After installation at DIS, I had a brief chance to experiment before the ice storm caught us. the change was just what I was looking for. Thanks for all the great advice!

Re: Excellant Service

Do you notice if the trip computer's fuel mileage readings are high?? Just wondering if Hypertech has gotten a handle on this problem yet. Thanks

Re: Excellant Service

I don't think you'll ever see a perf chip or power reprogrammer that will fix the mpg readings on the trip computer. The deviation form std Ford programming upsets the data for the fuel flow to the trip computer. The modified inj event duration and inj oil pressure are not properly derived into fuel flow to be used in a comparison to distance covered for the correct mpg to be determined by the trip computer.

You Texans and your balmy weather! Kudos to Gary for braving such "harsh" weather conditions!

It got up to -8 here today.

Re: Excellant Service

The mileage computer appears to be working fine. I have not noticed any of the problems encountered by others. While Gary was helping me he did say that some of the questions and screens that you see during install appeared to be differant.
