Re: excursion

It has the same frame as a 1 ton but is sprung differently. Parts are interchangeable between the two. You can make it whatever you want it to be.

The stock springs suck.

Making mine a 1 ton was the best thing I could have done. I put the V code front springs and firestone airbags on it. I was going to put F350 rear springs, but everyone I know has to run air bags anyway, so I figured I'd go that route. Did the sway bar too. The V codes are the single best thing...it rode SO much better that I can't even believe it (though I heard it here first).

I have some U codes if anyone wants them. (F250)

Re: excursion

The frame is not the same as any of the trucks. If you check the specifications you will see the frame section is different then all of the trucks. It has a lower section modulus then all of the superduty trucks. Higher section modulus better for bending. I assume it is lower because we do not have a bed that carries a lot of weight and wants to bend the frame at the bed/cab area.

I'll PM you about the springs. I'm still not sure I'm going to do anything, but who knows.
