I have 10094 miles on mine and the overall average is 18.80 with HWY at 75 MPH being 21 and metro Atlanta being 18.50. I have very little HWY miles in the overall total.

Expect alot less with 4x4 and around town driving. My total avg is 13.8 my best ever is 15.3 and worst is 11.4 while towing a trailer (just got back today, man this thing pulls awesome!). Driving styles and locality seem to matter alot also. I've now got about 4,000 miles on mine.
FYI not counting the increase in mileage over a gasser, I've now saved 64.69 in buying diesel fuel in 9 tanks of fuel over unleaded.
Hell, I can not tell anymore, it changes everytime they reflash it, three times now , maybe I can get a tank or two in before they come up with another reflash.........Hig.........
Brand new 6.0....just took it's first long road trip---Nashville, TN, to NYC....with local driving up there, I put on 2500 miles...I ignored the overhead computer, which is useless, and calculated the old fashioned way, and averaged 71mph, and 18.2mpg.
Drove today on the interstate, did not reset computer until I was at 75 mph cruising speed, 18.1 showing on computer......130 miles on interstate........Hig
Heck, I just got done towing 150 miles with an 8500lb TT (not aerodynamic at all) at 70mph and got better than your old truck! 11.7mpg out, and 11.6 on the way back. Gotta love it.

Just took a 700 mile trip (San Jose to Carpeteria). I drove the 350 miles down (75-80 mph 6 passengers plus a back load of luggage) and got 19.5 mpg, on the way back my buddies drove and dropped the MPG to 18.5 for the entire trip. Looks like the same truck will give different drivers as much as +\- 1 MPG (a 2 MPG spread). In any case the MPGs are still very good.

We see the same thing . .my wife can't touch 17mpg, but I can see over 18 regularly . . .of course I let'er roll when ever I see a stop sign coming up and try to use the brakes as little as possible. (the distance one of these things will roll on the engine braking is incredible)
