Waht do you mean, nothing happens? No cluck, no crank, or no start?

Re: Excursion Ignition Problems

Is the key hard to turn? There's a bulletin I saw somewhere about that and faulty switches.

Re: Excursion Ignition Problems

I have that problem, but it is related to the alarm. I had a F**d factory alarm installed a couple of weeks ago (I've had the X since last September). Ever since then, I have to arm and unarm the alarm with the FOB in order to start. Otherwise, if the X sits for 30 seconds or more, without me arming it, the starter-kill arms automatically. Then if I turn the key the 'wait-to-start' light, the stereo, and any other electrical items left on prior to shut down come on. I have to call the F**d help-line to figure out how to disengage auto ignition-kill.

Good luck with your problem.

Re: Excursion Ignition Problems

A friend's ex has a touchy park switch. Next time it doesn't crank, try pulling the shifter up at the same time.
