Excursion Not Dead, Apparently. - Diesel Forum

Blue Oval is reporting an updated Job 1 date for the 06 Excursion of 06 Sept. The table has a big red "updated" note on it.

Any thoughts on what this means, if anything?

As bad as I want one of the last ones I just can't bring myself to buying a 6.0. My 7.3 is chugging along with 55K miles in good shape.

Yeah, I posted this same info on a thread a couple of weeks ago but the Blue Oval update was for March/05.

It looks like Blue Oval has corrected where the Super Duties are being built back to Kentucky and Mexico. If you look closer it shows KentuckyTruck, MO. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

Only time will tell.

If your truck is working fine then don't change it, just take good care of it.

I just ask for two more years and i will buy another Excursion (are you listening Ford!). It makes sence to keep the truck into production it shairs the drive train with another production vehicle so the only difference is the body. But if Ford wants to give the entire large SUV market to GM go ahead (are you listening Ford!)... [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

We'll have to see what the future holds for the X. I never completely understood why they decided to dump all of the large utility trucks in favor of the small junky ones. I saw an Escape the other day, [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif[/img] I wonder what it will be when it grows up.
