Excursion Pocket Flares??

Doesn't seem like they make these for the X but has anyone ever modified a 250 set to fit an X? Or does anyone know of another company that makes a similar style? I like the rivit look of the bushwackers. Any help would be great.

Re: Excursion Pocket Flares??

I've looked into it a couple times and have yet to find anyone who makes flares that will fit an excursion's rear fenders. That is because of how close the rear doors are to the front of the fender well. One could cut the flare at the door opening and end cap both pieces then attach to the quarter panel and door so that it looks like one piece- but my problem is that I have a limited with the plastic body moulding, and I would have to deal with attaching to that or tearing it off only to have a bunch of holes in the doors. Be sure and let us know if you figure out a way to do this and make it look decent. I've been pulled over twice about tires sticking out of the fender well and need to do something about it.

Re: Excursion Pocket Flares??

It would be easiest to mod flares by cutting them at the door line, and then patching them. Arctic Trucks makes flares to fit the Excursion in the rear.

It looks like these, but fits the Excursion in the back.

Re: Excursion Pocket Flares??

Anyone notice the side marker light on the front fenders? Are these add ons or possibly required in other countries?

They'd make a nice extra turn signal.

Excursion pocket flares

Here is our resolution to not being able to find a good pocket style flare for the excursion. We have near twenty hours of modifications to the flare and building custom brackets to mount to the body of the vehicle. If you have questions let us know. billingscollisionrepair@yahoo.com

Thats a nice looking white X, I sold my summer rims and want different ones, I like yours a lot....where do you park this at night???? But really, what size are those and brand. I would like to get that same rim or close. Nice clean door jams too, my neighbors think I am crazy because I clean mine too, even dust. With almost 200,000 miles my truck is cleaner on the inside than 99% of any vehicle 3 months old and bought brand new. For the most part it appears new inside and out and people freak when they see 196k on the odometer.
