It did what it supposed to do,transport and protect at the same time
Keep us posted on when it goes in for repair and the guesstimate

My truck has almost exactly the same type of damage after I lost control going over an icy bridge a bit over two weeks ago. The front driver's fender was dented and the bumper and headlight were wrecked.
Luckily, I didn't get hurt in the least, as the truck just hit the side of the bridge instead of hitting something head on. I don't think the seatbelt even had to restrain me.
I was able to drive the truck the other 200 miles home. The truck went in the shop Monday and I can pick it up tomorrow.

Will do Bill!
Thank you for your concern about my family!
It did do it's job! It wasn't a serious accident but if my wife had the kids in the mini-van I imagine I wouldn't be typing because I'd be at the hospital at someone's bedside. That's whewre the driver's parents are. (He's gonna be okay...)
There is ONE good thing about this though... well okay a few...
I can upgrade headlights; I can justify a Ranch Hand Bullnose bumper, clear corners are now one the list (justified.) Front DS spring may be out of wack so a mild 3" lift kit would solve that; plus the front rim has gotta be replaced...What's that?? Stone Crushers!? Why that's a great idea!
Don't like to hear (or read) stories like yours, but I guess it could be worse....... good thing you can still tell the story........ just in case you aren't totally devoted to the Weld brand name go here for a close clone that is half the price...
Why stop with a bullnose when you can get the mac daddy of the bumpers,a full replacement front end
I have a connection here in Dallas that might be able to save you a few hundred dollars minimum for either bumper of your choice
I've overheard that the stonecrushers clickety clickety click has been fixed

Glad to hear the family is okay. I love driving but I hate the mistakes and the results that happen from the mistakes.

Sorry bout your X, but am very glad you and the family are fine.
And a good thing you did that ashtray/hook mod....who knows, that old ashtray could've popped out and added another bruise on ya !!
Excursions must not like Hondas, my wife just tapped one in the back last week, if it wasn't for the salt on the bumper you'd never know the Excursion made contact. The estimate for the Honda was $1400, provided there was no frame damage.

Okay...I'm ALL ears!!
Yeah Stonecrushers kinda got bad rap. Those Eagles sure look nice! But I actually LIKE the stock polished 8 holes rims... I was caught in a moment... No lift for me but I may be asking one of you guys for your old D code springs just in case Bill here find me a good deal on a mondo bumper!!!!!
Ken,you'll be wanting a set of U or V codes for the replacement front end if you take that route.
The stock bumper weighs in at around 75lbs while the replacement front end weighs in at 275 to 300 pounds(imagine the damage that it can inflict on a Honda)
You'll want to contact Phil at (972)286-4000 Bus address ; 11611 CF Hawn Freeway Hwy 175 Dallas Texas.
He can add winch mounts, receivers, hooks, whatever you want and the pricing is right on the number
In fact I'll give him a call Saturday to see what's the latest and greatest
