5 years/100K miles *engine* (not complete drivetrain) warranty on the Powerstroke diesel engine. Includes almost anything bolted in or on the engine, including CPS, water pump, etc.
Totally transferable.
If you're buying used and are paranoid about the warranty, you could have a dealer (or a friendly Ford employee around this site if you can find one) run an "OASIS report" for you. If something whacky has happened, like the previous owner modified it and broke something major and had the warranty on that major thing voided because of the mods, then you'd find out about it.

I just bought a premiun ESP extended warranty for 6 yrs or 75,000 mi. from Sunrise Ford in Calif. My X is a 4X4 with a 7.3 and it cost me $2275.00. If I had bought that exact same warranty here in Miami it would have cost me around $3700.00. Warranties in Florida are regulated under the Insurance Comm. office, and they don't allow the prices to be discounted. I don't know where you are located, but it can't hurt to shop around. I have had Ford ESP extended warranties on my vehicles for years, and have never had one problem.

Fordwarrants.com is a Ford dealer. I have delt with Jack G. and recieved a great deal on my 7-70k premium ESP. Jack is not in Florida and can sell at any priece he pleases and Ford allows any dealer to sell ESP for any Ford vehicle new or used. All you need is the VIN, mileage, purchas date. If you ask Jack he can also provide the Ford maintinance plan (is a good deal if you don't do your own service).
