Exhaust Flex Joint??

Guys,

There was some talk, before the Excursions came out, that they were going to put in some type of flex section in the exhaust pipe to quiet the beast down some. Has anyone seen this yet?? It was also rumored that it would be on the fancy Lariat CC units with the captains chairs front and rear etc. I forget what they were to be called. The talk was that they were going to extra lengths for quiet and I was wondering if it materialized.

some of the SD guys where putting in the flex pipe in. but didn`t hear that ford was going to do this. the cc lariat le is the one with the quite pkg.you should also have this pkg.

As far as I know this is just a popular do-it-yourself popular add-on. You can get the flex pipe in any boat-equipment or similar workshop.

Thanks guys,

I have a 99.5 SC SD. Knew about the D-I-Y method. Was just wondering if Ford had made a move to try this from the factory. If so I would likely just buy their pipe rather than do the D-I-Y.
