I never worried much about how the Magnaflow tip looked. At the speed I go by, they don't even notice it.

The pipe inside the tip is not very noticeable and it still looks great...trust me I'm nitpicky so if it looked bad I would change it. Im sure the pipe could be cut back and the tip welded on if you were that worried about it.

I have a Bully Dog on my F250. It is the aluminized and is starting to rust slightly. It is about 4 years old. Who makes a quiet one? I would like to put one on the EX but do not want the resonance under the floor. I sit possible to have the performance and still be quiet?

[/ QUOTE ]
The Magnaflow was surprisingly quiet when I put mine on but still sounded good with zero flutter. I prefer it a little louder so I had the muffler deleted.

Re: exhaust systems

I agree with RPM , I bought a 4" sysytem through them for my 03 Duramax. Was a great system, and the tech support guys were easy to talk to and helpful, price was great too.I believe the muffler on it was a flowmaster.

Re: exhaust systems

I think it is the XL...I had mine installed by a muffler shop I've used for years...I did have them get me the 4" DP though...the system was supposed to come with a 3.5" DP but they did not charge me any extra for the 4". It came all SS with the polished muffler and 5" tip.

Re: exhaust systems

I may havd to talk to the wife about a system for her X. I just do not want it to resonate under the floor and be loud. The one in my truck even gets annoying on a trip. I will check on the Magnaflow, thanks.

Re: exhaust systems

So has anyone heard the difference between the Magnaflow and MBRP on a 6.0 X???? I noticed the MBRP 4" turbo back exhaust only has a 3.5" downpipe, the Magnaflow has a true 4", unless you buy the tuner series XL version. I like the idea of a full 4", as long as it fits???

Re: exhaust systems

I got my MBRP exhaust system yesterday. I had it installed by a local performance shop, due to time constraints, but it seemed like it went on very easy. Installation took a little over an hour. It looks and sounds great. I wouldn't even mind if it was even a little louder than it is.
It has a deep rumble to it. No Drone.

Thanks for all of your help.

Dave

Re: exhaust systems

With the 6.0, the Magna sound almost stock. MBRP may be slightly louder, but I'm guessing not much, if at all. With time, they'll get louder, but still not a "rumble". Need to get rid of the muffler for that, which is surprisingly not that loud either.
