Re: extra monitors with oem video ?

Has anyone checked if there's aux video/audio output RCA's on the stock player?

If there's aux outputs,then it's a YES.

I went ahead and purchased two 7.2" LCD monitors and a compact DVD player,Ba-Da-Bing! Happy Children

Re: extra monitors with oem video ?

If there is not, there still are separate video, and audio wires (it is pretty easy to tell)

You could just splice into those if you like. Afriend of mine awhile back purchased a factory dvd system for his 2000 X. When we went to put it in it had all of the right output plugs on it. Yours might be the same. I was thinking about adding another screen or 2 and, or replacing the stock one with a larger one..

Re: extra monitors with oem video ?

You generally don't want to simply "Y" baseband (composite) video signals - you'll get too much signal loss. A balanced A/V splitter (1-in/4-out) is the best way to do this. Most of these use a 12v power supply, so hooking them up in the truck is a no-brainer. We generally use the CE Labs AV400 in our video distribution installations, which can be found on the net for < $75.
