F Code Rear Springs

I have cheap access to F Code rear springs from a 2005 Superduty Harley Edition. Does anyone have any experience with F Code rear springs? What should I expect?

Re: F Code Rear Springs

Clevelandjim,

I posted everything I knew about F codes at the end of the thread I linked below. As far as I know, no one has ever tried them. But if the price were right, I would give them a shot. Let me know if you pass up the deal.

Rob

Re: F Code Rear Springs

Towrig, Thanks for the help. A mechanic I know has the F codes just laying in his garage b/c he replaced the already. I'm sure he'd like the labor too.

What should I expect from F codes on an Excursion? I'm hoping to keep the ass up when hitched to my TT. I already have the Rancho's ramped up to 4 to suit my taste, so I can alway turn them down a bit.

Re: F Code Rear Springs

By design, they shouldn't sag as much as the 05-06 C codes (without aux spring pack on top) when loaded up. And I believe the C's of today would ride similar to the B's of 2004. The F's should ride a little firmer, but it's really hard to say without experimenting.

If you can try them for only a few hours of labor, I would go for it.
