F350 or F350 Lariat wheels on my Ex? Will they fit?

Looking to get bigger wheels and tires on my 05 Excursion. I don't really dig the whole chrome or black aftermarket rim, so I'm thinking about just buying the 2008 OEM F250 Wheels from a guy who is upgrading HIS rims. They are 8 bolt, 18" wheels. Someone warned me about the wrong offset. Can anyone let me know if these will work, or if I'm headed for trouble?

Thanks!!!

Fuel Filter Help

I am looking for my 2003, 6.0 F250 a new fuel filter housing I will call it. It is what holds the fuel filter that is under the truck, the one mounted to the frame. My question is " Does anyone make a metal filter holder/housing?" The cheap plastic thing that came on the truck is hard to unscrew and then put back on after changeing the flilter. I thought I saw on here several months ago where someone had found one that is made from metal, may have been aluminum, but i can't find it now. Anyone that can help, please email me at scottiedorman@dishmail.net . Thanks for and help, Stucky

I was goiiing to use them on my 03' Excursion but the backspacing was different. I was told they would fit an 05-08. You should be good unless I was misinformed.

One way you can tell is take off your wheel and measure the backspacing then check if it is the same on the 08 rim.

Here's a link to help you: https://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html

Let us know...I'm curious now.

I wouldn't think they would be the same because the Excursion kept the front leaf springs. But its possible. Again, need to measure or find the specs.

Okay, with that said, it sounds like this is going to require some more investigating. Is there any 'known' OEM wheel in the 17-19" range that would be a definite match? I think that Ford's got some pretty nice OEM wheels available, and I really can't justify $2000 or more for aftermarkets.

The Ex did not change with the F-Series, so they offset is incorrect. Tire Rack was closing out some SVT F250 Wheels, similar to that of the King Ranch or Harley in '04, I have been looking for a little larger wheels and don't want to spend a fortune either.

So the King Ranch and Harley rims will fit the Ex?

I have the King Ranch wheels on my Ex and my F250. These are both from an '03 year model though. I do not think you can use any factory wheel newer than an'04 on your EX. The ones I am using are still 16" and have 6 holes and the gold paint with the polished spokes.

In '04 the KR and Harley wheels were 18" (Not the 20's on the '05+). The 18s will fit the Ex.

This won't help you, just a little nostalgia, but the '02 X (limited) came with the Lariat wheels.

Got the same wheels for my x. I put Fred Goeske hub centric 2" aluminum spacers to compensate for the different backspace. The spacers are actually 1" larger than needed, but this gave the x a wider footprint, which tremendously improved the handling.
