Re: Fastest Excursion

While I am inclined to believe the trucks discussed in this post are the fastest Excursions around, I did read a story in the July 2001 issue of Truckin' magazine that would claim otherwise. In that story, author Jeremy Cook claims the 2000 Excursion featured ran a best of 12.8@138 mph. The truck was tuned by Diesel Dynamics (702-897-6263) and they claim the truck ran that unbelievable trap speed with only 400 horsepower. The truck in the story is owned by Jim Kruger of Happy's Custom Auto in Las Vegas.

Now, I would immediatley chalk these insanely false times up to a typo, but the sub-13 second claim is clearly made in three different parts of the story. Don't believe me? The story starts on page 40 of the July 2001 issue of Truckin' magazine.
