Filter Box

Just installed the Airaid filter box with a K&N air filter. The engine seems to like the additional air.

Has anyone else tried this mod?

I will be installing a new Wessley chip, which will be a new chip for the PSD. Can't tell you the performance parameters yet. Mike Wessley has been successful in designing exclusive tuning software for the Cobra. His product is superior to the Diablo and Super Chips in the Cobra/Mustang arena.

To speak of the devil, I just got through looking into this airaid myself. Do a search in upgrades and aftermarket. I was not very impressed at all . The don't look very good in my opinion. Most are waiting for the ram air by Western Diesel .

In looking at the box and the inlet, you right, it could stand to be modified to improve air flow. I think by drilling some large holes that will open the inlet to the front grill allowing fresh air is certainly something to consider that would give you the ram air effect.
