Finally!

I have needed to wait for the "right time" to get my Excursion on order (hey, these things arem't cheap!). Well that time is finally hear. This will be my first deisel vehicle, but after monitoring this board, I believe this is the best way to go. My first priority was to get the price I was looking for. Of course I wanted to get as close to list as possible, with my ultimate goal of $100 over invoice. A local dealer has a new "chat" feature on their web site. I deceided to check it out and "chatted" with the Internet Sales Manager. After some discussion (I have done a lot of homework, and learned a lot from this board) we agreed on List Price + $100 (+TTL and NO other fees)! Awesome! I am proud to say that my Estate Green Limited, Power Stroke Excursion is on order and I was told it would be about 7 weeks (we'll see on that). These next couple of months are going to be torture!

John M;

I don't know about the 7 week part...Unless he's already got the unit on order...I ordered my Excursion PSD back on Nov. 11th....My baby was born on Feb 14th, released on th 16th and will probably take delivery wk. 3/6/00.....Making a total of nearly 16weeks.....Was yours a 4x4???? Mine was....

Re: Finally!

I went a 4X2. Based on what I've seen I think the 7 weeks is questionable also. This is a large dealer, but I do not know what kind of leverage that would give them. Even if it does turn out to be 7 weeks, the wait will be a killer. I went into it thinking 8 to 12 weeks, hopefully they will beat that.

Is the reverse sensing aid now standard on the Limited? I thought someone had posted that. When they checked on their system it still had it as an option.
