Finally added PSD V-8 emblems

Well, I suddenly had another mod itch on my way home from work Friday. I stopped at the stealer and bought two 2004 Powerstroke Diesel V-8 markers/emblems. They are chrome looking plastic with the black painted backround and two little red stripes. I acetoned them to match my Excursion badges and installed them on my doors today. They look SWEET I wish I would have done this a long time ago. I'll post some pictures on my Webshots link on Monday

I just ordered the 2005-2006 badges. I am expecting them in a couple of days.

Re: Finally added PSD V-8 emblems

I made the dealer include three PSD '05 emblems. I installed them on the front doors exactly where they are located on the F series trucks and I centered one under the Ford oval on the right rear door. Looks great!

It's a must to install the PSD Emblem on the rear door.

How are they mounted? Is it like a gigantic sticker, or was there a special glue you had to use? It looks nice... I might do that myself.

Re: Finally added PSD V-8 emblems

Yes, it's basically a gigantic sticker. It is super sticky tape. I can't believe how sticky it was. I had mine in the house overnight then went and cleaned my door area and stuck them on when it was about 38 degrees and they are ON THERE! Make sure you have their location marked...I used some blue masking tape as a guide. Because once they are stuck on there they are not moving I went by the stealer and measured a truck and used about 2" in from the front vertical opening of the door and about 3/4" - 1" up from the horizontal bend in the door as a guide. I say be careful because my driver side badge is actually a little crooked I could not move it even a hair once it was on there. I may end up removing it with a string and using some adhesive to re-install it straight. I will eventually add one to the back as well

Those look great. Makes me want to get some. Do you just get them from the dealership? How many did you get? Three?

Re: Finally added PSD V-8 emblems

Did you order yours from the dealership or does dieselstop have them?

Re: Finally added PSD V-8 emblems

I ordered the 2005-2006 emblems from a dealer in PA. I like these because they also say Turbo Diesel. They look great.

Re: Finally added PSD V-8 emblems

Picked up a pair of 6.0 style badges on Ebay (buy it now) a couple years ago for under $25 shipped. Put the badges on the doors like the pick ups.

So far only one guy has asked if the X had the 6.0!
