Re: Finally, I found a PSD Excursion!!!

Cool! sounds good. I looked for a bout a week but where I'm from they are everywhere. Seams like a whole bunch of people leased them for a year or two then turned them back in. My wifes is also an 01 and I love it. It is completely bone stock at this present time mainly because I have SOOOO many things I want to do to it I don't know where to start!

Maybe you got lucky like I did and take a look at the drivers side valve cover for the engine build date. On my PSD it was towards the front of the cover on a yellow sticker. Mine was born in June of 2000 SO I guess I have forged rods!

Good Luck,
Brent.

Re: Finally, I found a PSD Excursion!!!

Not a bad deal, I got my '00 4x4 Limited about a year ago with 58k miles on it for $24,900.....just as a point of reference. Mine now has 86000 miles on it and is going strong. (yep that's right nearly 30k miles in one year)

Re: Finally, I found a PSD Excursion!!!

That's a good price. I looked for a couple months and saw them between 25K and 30K. I just got mine for 25.9, RWD though.

You're not worried about the racket you're going to get from all that vibrating fiberglass the doors are made of?

Honestly, yeah, I'm a little worried. Good friend of mine used to own a car audio shop and is convinced this can be made to work. He knows how to lay fiberglass and everything. Once you've got the upholstered panel off, the door "skin" is actually pretty robust.

We're doing a test fit probably tomorrow. If it sounds terrible, we're going to punt and put them elsewhere.

"Are forged rods not good?"

NO THERE GREAT!

I was just refering to the fact that I got lucky and found a CLEAN PSD Excursion with forgrd rods. I still would have bought it if it had the PMR's but by having the stronger forged rods it adds a little extra security when I finally add the fuel to her!
