Finally, its here, but not here!

Only 115 days after I ordered my Excursion it was delivered to the dealership this afternoon. Tomorrow at 4 PM (est) the salesman is supposed to deliver it to my driveway with everything that I requested. So one more day, thats 116 days. But I can't drive at least for another week. So I'm just going to look out my kitchen window for a week and drool.

The kid across the street just got her Dad to buy her a cute Honda 4X4. She's real cute in that little 4X4. But just wait, they will know I'm home, no rapp music screaming from my truck, just I will set my APCM on about 1750 RPMs and let it idle for 60 minutes. I think I will win.

I feel just like a little kid. Hey, last week I even had my tonsils removed, so I do feel like a little kid!

JBkrab:

Remember to take it easy with the recovery.
I would suggest the following: TEST DRIVE your new Excursion!

Look out the window and wait until she parks the Honda on the street.
You are now ready for that test drive!

Back up until the (rev aid sensor starts beeping). You should be about 3 feet from the Honda. Throw a chain around the front axle of her vehicle and connect to the 2 inch box plate on your Excursion. Tune into a C&W station or put in a CD (C&W of course) and PUMP up the volume. Next push gently on parking brake and set the APCM to 1747 RPM's and then honk the horn until she comes out. Now when she comes out of the house and says what the hell are you doing - Just put it in drive and accelerate. Oh and as you are driving away, just hollar back and tell her you are taking a test drive of your new Excursion. Feel free to explain that you needed to test it under a light load, while the POWERSTROKE DIESEL is being broken in.
Enjoy your new PSD Excursion and a SPEEDY Recovery. Donnie

Re: Finally, its here, but not here!

Donnie,

thanks for the smile maker! I've been in so much pain for the past week and little to smile about. But hey, the gal across the street, shes young and Dad's footin' the bill. I'd be blasting my radio too if I had her Dad pay my bills. I just don't think that in my neighborhood that anyone here would understand a APCM. I just have to wait until Saturday afternoon, I will actually take her out for a good test drive. I think I can go for about 8-10 hours before I need pain medication, so I may try it tomorrow first, if I can go for the 8-10 hrs then Saturday I will try it.
