gasenginesrot said the test F250 7.3 towed stronger than the Excursion 7.3
(being an F250 I'm confident it is SRW)

Joe_M was asking what gears were in these vehicles

where did the van come from?

the van people must be HAPPY now that they've got an intercooler. I suspect this was made possible by the change in the accessory drives on the 6.0

If you have a 99.5 F350 you have a 235hp. engine same as 99.5 thru 2000 automatics (pickup or Excursion).

The 7.3PSD automatic jumped to 250hp basically with the start of the 2001 model production. There was no power jump for the manual version of the 7.3PSD until October of 2000 when it went to 275hp.

Re: First pull today "disappointed"

Thanks for the 99.5 F350 7.3 Hp ratings. The funny thing is that after about 700+ miles it is starting to feel much better, mostly getting used to the automatic vs the manual.

The labor he quoted was $544. It is the stinger plus system with the level 4 chip.

Ahhh, I forgot that the stinger + included the new housing (just looked) ..that explains why it's more than I was thinking.

Have a good one,
Dave
