VC, I saw 2 by hand and 3-4 on the overhead. I am not sure it would affect the overhead but I seem to be off by hand, I am in the process of checking again by hand but I try not to get to hung up on it, it is what it is you know. I just like the fact I don't have to worry about every grade and can relax at 70 on cruise and just drive...and honk and swear and cut off and try to run into the median...and those are the ones that start a pass and then park next to guy like they are talking. The 44 takes care of the really bad ones.

CHP,
I thought the Wicked Wheel was mostly a benefit to those that were having turbo stalling noises or something to that effect. Are you saying that the W.W. actually is pumping more air into the intake? If so then I could see where it helps.
Thanks.

Here's the Full Description on the WW from Bob's site
One thing is "For Sure" is that after the WW was installed the Excursion definitely accelerates alot harder till you let up off the Go pedal, the accompanying whistle almost prevents you from wanting to slow down

Cutting that hole helps that much? It looks simple, are you afraid of objects or dirt and water going in there? It looks like it would really gobble air but I am afraid it may injest small birds or even children.

Once again nice AT Motion Man! I'm frequently on OSO as well. I work with Wild who just sold his 32' Active Thunder which had twin 500 EFI's in it! AT builds a nice go fast boat. My boat is a bit smaller and slower (Crownline 266ltd) but it looks and sounds awesome...I am boat crazy! Can't wait to tow with the new X to LOTO this year!

Hey, a Crownie got loose! The 266LTD is a pretty rare and awesome looking boat. ALthough I don't own a Crownline, my family and I have been inducted as "Honerary Crownies". We'll do the Lake Ouachita ralley this summer for the 3rd year.
Do you frequent the Crownline forum?

I know that people that do the plain ole ZooDad say that water injestion is no problem, BUT, with yours, do you think you will hav a problem???
Yes, Family Ride I am definitely a "Crownie"! I've been on the Crownline forum frequently for the past 3 years. They are a great group of people, and I've met several of them at LOTO and Kinkaid Lake. Yeah, that's the one thing I like about my boat is the fact that it has a very unique look with nice lines!

It's like an OSO reunion around here. MotionMan, have you gotten your trailer back yet, and is it acceptable to you? BTW, thanks for the help for my brother-in-law.
VC, my 2000 is still stock, and I pull over 10,000lbs worth of boat, engines, and steel Myco. I don't remember the excursion having any trouble maintaining speed on flat to mild highways. You may consider the cruise controll computer not working as well as it should. Just a thought.
In my experience, the Dodges did get better milage than the PSD's. Part is they spin fewer RPM's at the same speeds. In old blue, a 92 Dodge with 5-speed, we'd get 20mpg at 70 mph at 2000rpm. If you keep your PSD at or under 2000 rpm, you get pretty good milage also, but are going too slow for normal driving.
By the way, Boot (Joe) does appear to be keeper. Levelheaded, and reasonable with mods.

Hey Jeff, we will be at LOTO this Mem Day also, first big big pull, boatpuller, who are you on OSO? This is an OSO reunion!! Good to see we all stick together, Trucks, Boats and all. I am almost done with the trailer and it should be right on, it has taken many trips back and forth and we keep changing our minds but it will be home today for me to complete the paint and Bunks. I hope all goes well.

FYI, I'm Searay Jim on OSO and of course I'm my real name on the CL site. Although I'm refered to as Searay Jim there as well. Actually it was Crownies that were calling me Searay Jim which is where I got it from. Sorry, thinking out loud!

I have 10 hours this year, most of it with a snowmobile helmet on. It is back in the water again so it is easy to take out, now we are having rain almost every day. This weekend looks good, I plan to sleep on it. OSO rules, that is really my life for the most part. I love my X but the boat is my first love. I can just sit in it and look for things to do. I am constantly changing things and trying to go faster with what I have, I can't afford to loose reliability and it is a fortune building everything X 2 so I just tinker. I wish I could do this for a living but I couldn't stand dealing with the people, it would take the fun out of it.
