Fog Light Bulb Replacement?

I am trying to change the bulbs in my fog lights but can’t get in there without taking off the license plate bracket (which is pop- riveted on) any suggestions?

Thanks

Steve

Re: Fog Light Bulb Replacement?

Keep trying and twisting, it can be done but it ain't easy, that is assuming the X and a truck are the same. My son has good sized hands and he replaced his bulbs without removing the lic. plate bracket (truck). I took my front lic. plate bracket off as soon as I got home with my truck and it was still a chore to get to those bulbs.

Re: Fog Light Bulb Replacement?

The plastic grill (on my Ex) came off with 5 screws on top and 4 or 5 clips on the bottom...
Real easy then to get to the bulbs which only take a quarter ? turn to release...

When putting the grill back on, pull the clips off the truck and mount them on the grill to push them in... MUCH easier to line it up..

(While you've pulled the grill why not do the 'ZooDad' mod by removing some of the fiberglass framing in front of the air filter intake ?) 10 to 15 minutes of work and it's done...

Re: Fog Light Bulb Replacement?

JohnBoyToo

Pulling the grill off was very easy then there was enough room to work, a little knowledge is all I needed.

Thanks Again

Steve
