Follow-up on Coil Spring issue - Thanks!

Hello,

Thanks for all of your help - some info for you.

2wd Excursion coil springs are indeed an obsolete part from Ford. I contacted Ford directly as well as 5 dealerships throughout the continental US and there are none in stock anywhere.
Those two websites - powerstrokeshop and ford discounted parts are both Ford dealerships using a different name to sell online and didn't have any as well.

I located a set (atleast I am hoping) at a junkyard in South Carolina and they are being shipped to New Jersey as we speak.

Still not sure what broke the thing but we love the X and will never get rid of it. My last resort and it is still not out becuase I am still not driving it is a Fabtech 4in lift. So if it comes to that I guess I will have to get some bigger tires too.

Thanks again for all of your help - I was able to check alot of different places I would not have known about with the forum.

Jason

Jason check with Deaver spring..they would know if a F250 2wd coil will work...no reason it won't except it may lift the front a little.

Again if springs are available for the 2000 to 2004 F-250/350 there should be some that would work, you may get a slight lift out of these also.
There may have been a few on other excursion sites that did this to 2WD Xs
most of us here have the PSDs and I think a higher % of the PSDs tend to be 4X4s so there may be help other sites as well.

Sounds like you have it for now, good luck

Bruce

Sounds like a great time to upgrade to the truck springs. You get a small lift and more travel above the bump stops.

I am confused coil springs or leaf springs if they are leaf springs a left my old ones at hackensack spring in NJ i think they were GG/BB i put X code springs in and modified the back springs and run 35's with a little rub.

Coil Springs

Turns out the Coil springs from the Junkyard in South Carolina worked just fine and we are up and running. Had the fuel filters changed and transmission serviced and now have a new very slow oil leak. As I have heard many people tell me I got the "All diesels leak eventually" words from my dealership. I don't know about that - Haven't had a leak in the first 100,000 miles. Anway - The thing is riding right again and I have an extra coil spring now just in case. Was reading in the forum and now I am going to look at the HPOP to see if the oil is coming from that direction. What does that stand for?

Coil Springs

Oh yea,

There were 10 different places that had them listed in their inventory (I think they just copy and paste the same inventory Ford supposedly has) but when you actually call - NOTHING, NADA, ZIP...
