Ford Extended Warranty cancellation refund

We just went to the dealer (Malouf) that sold us the 2000 with 6yr/100K Ford Extended Warranty and cancelled it with 31,777 miles two weeks before the 3 year mark so it was still covered under the standard 3yr/36,000 mile Ford Warranty. The dealer (Dayton Ford) that sold us the new 2003 said we should get a pro-rated $600 back. Anyone here do this ?

Yes you should get money back. I cancelled my F150 extended warranty when I got my new truck. $800 came in the mail a few weeks later.
