Walking around a dealer's lot, I saw a new Excursion Limited PSD 4x2, white over gold with parchment leather interior. It has limited slip and CD.

If you ordered this one today, the invoice would be about $38,050 with a sticker of $43,600. He's had this one a few weeks, so to stop the high floorplan costs, he said he'd take $38,500 for it. You can drive it home Monday from west Texas.

BJ Ford outside of Liberty, Texas has a black/tan limited PSD 4X4 Excursion for those who are interested.

We ordered in NW Arkansas on 11/25 whilst we were still in California (you could say we are emigrating, eta on 3/6/2000) and are still clean and unscheduled on a 4x4 PSD Chestnut Excursion Limited with every option.

Our dealer has given us a loaner whilst we wait, but I have to tell you I'm getting really itchy feet waiting.

Troutly's ordered Excursion was very tempting and we nearly flew up there to get that one a month ago. If it had been Estate Green or Chestnut rather than Red.....

Next week the dealer (who is the nicest guy you could ever wish to meet) is going to get the call about a drop dead date or else. I hate to do it, but at this rate it's going to be a 2001 truck!

If anyone sees a 4 x 4 as described above between here and Arkansas....

Do you know that it may be because you ordered the backup radar thingy? These are what's holding up a lot of production on the Excursions.

For anyone in Central Texas looking for an Excursion, Covert Ford on 183 in Austin has a bunch of them. I know there are a couple 4X4 PSDs, a bunch of V10s and some V8s, They must have at least 20 on the lot. A great place to deal with too. Ask for Johnny Tate. I ordered a 4X2 PSD for $100 over invoice. Based on my experience at this dealership, if you have your act together, they are more than willing to deal.

Bob Utter in Sherman, TX has several, and Balargeon in Richardson,TX has some.

Go to www.planetford.com/vshowroom.html to find at least two that I think meet your specs. They have a bunch of them. These are right north of Houston, TX.

Our Excursion is due 3/27 and the dealer has been more than gracious here in NW Arkansas. Free loaner for the past month and we cn switch it out for anything on his used lot any time we want. How can you beat that?
