Front Axels & Bearings

I have pulled the RF hub off because there were crunching crackkling sounds coming from there. The bearing is almost fully seized so I am going to take it to a local axel shop in the am. ( I know it's allready the am.) My question is the axel turns by hand but there is debris from the bearing leftbehind. How should I clean it out and should i lubricate the area with anything? Also there are some seals on both sides of the u joint that are don't seem to be in place. Can they just be pushed back in place with anything that will reach? I need the vehicle for this weekend. HELLLPPP?

Just went through this on my "X". I was told its all one unit and had to be replaced as such.... It cost me about $500.00 at the delear with a oil change thrown in. So to answer your question.... as far as I understand it wont make a differance because the whole thing is going to be replaced...

after reading your post again... if its just the hub that engages the 4x4 you might get away without replacing the whole thing... if thats the case i say clean it up!!!
