Front windows slow down??

My front window slows down and sometimes stops on the way down. Seems like it is binding. It goes up fine. Anyone else have this problem or know the cause?? It's a 2000 Limited with the 7.3.

Thanks - Dan Ward

Re: Front windows slow down??

Ya'll spray a little bit of silicone in the vertical window channels to clear the shudder?

Re: Front windows slow down??

This is a problem with just about EVERY super duty built since the new body style was born

Solution: about every few weeks, spray some WD40 into the rubber tracks the window slides up and down through, and then cycle the window up and down a few times. good for a few weeks of normal operations.

Ford never seemed concerned enough to try and solve the problem.

Re: Front windows slow down??

I've read of several other owners having prob with their windows but guess we're lucky with our Excursion and F250

Re: Front windows slow down??

Dan - my X does the same thing. Driver side front door is the slowest, passenger side front door not much better. The rear doors seem to be fine
