Frozen Rotors

Well... Our front rotors warped again at 50K miles. The dealer turned them for free last time (24Kmi), but this one was going to be on our checkbook, so we got our local shop to order some slotted rotors for both axles from frozenrotors.com. The wife had them installed today. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet (I'm recovering from surgery). My wife reports that they get the job done, but she has to apply them, and then adjust the pedel pressure as she slows because they change friction rates on her. I'm thinking this is just a break-in issue, and after 500 miles or so, they'll be fine.

Did anyone else running these experience a change after the break-in period?

Rob

Re: Frozen Rotors

Hello again Rob...
Mine did exactly the same thing. I trust that you also bought the "Carbon" pads???? Mine did some strange things for the first 500m and then seemed to be "normal" except that they STOP FAST.
Mine went on at 21k and had no problems at 70k. I'm sure that my left front rotor is now toast though... "Point of Impact" and all....(accident)
Not to mention the front axle...
Give them a chance and try not to heat them too much right away.
