Funky Rattle on the front end!!!!! - Diesel Forum

My X PSD has about 26K on it right now. For the last couple of weeks, I have noticed a little rattle in the front end area. It rattles even when I run over a small crack in the road, and clinks pretty loudly when I go over a speed bump slowly. I'm taking it in tomorrow, but wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem.

Any ideas??????

Not sure about the X, but my F250 has the jack handle clipped under the hood over the radiator. It sounds like something is just loose, check the jack handle and do a visual under the hood and under the front end. Some SD's had a problem with the right side front sway bar mount breaking, that would be obvious to see. Just some thoughts..

on edit: Did you have any work done recently? Many times when I worked in the shop, cars came in with tools left under the hood, they will rattle and clink..
