I know this has been discussed before, with mixed answers all over the place, but I'm going to ask again just to clarify.
A stock height '00 X with stock tires. I have a 7' door (header), but with trim, door hang, etc. the opening is 6'10" (82"). Is it going to fit? With or without roof rack?
I can find the specs for stock height, but is that overall height or what??
Help... Gotta know before I buy one!!

I've got 295's, V codes and rear air bags (sits 1.5" higher than stock, plus the tires) and I have 3" to spare on a 7' door...in fact, I'm probably going to level the front end.
I removed the roof rack the first weekend, so I gained an inch or so of clearance too.

I agree. I gaurantee every building doesn't get the clearance the same. I've got 2-3" left with V codes and 285's and according to what I think it's supposed to be, I should be taking the header out every night I pull it in.

I would, but it's not here locally. There seems to be ZERO psd X's around here for sale. So.. I'm forced to go out of town, out of state, and dang near out of country to get one. Otherwise, yes, that would be ideal. Heck, I can't even find a gas burner around here to try out......

I'm very happy that I got the xtra high single door (rather than regular height double doors) on my garage --- otherwise I'd have to fold both mirrors and be nervous about scraping the top. As it is, I fold the drivers mirror to give my wife the room she prefers to park her taurus.
Now... I'm also glad I got the extra 18" in length of the garage. The X fits with about 12" to spare. The other option would be stopping the door around hood-height .
Anyways... I'm often afraid of indoor parking that says anything less than 6'10". It seems around here (Toronto, ON)... they're not very concerned about accuracy. I've seen 6'2" that I'd fit under and 6'8" that I wouldn't.
In my experience, if the antenna doesn't hit, the truck won't either. So I drive very slowly in parkades so that I can stop immediately if the antenna goes BOINNNNGGGG.
