Gauges and options

Can someone please define the following items for me. I keep reading about them and the more I read the more confused I get. What are they and what do they do. I know there is a device to make your truck idle higher as well? Would the alarm system DEI Python 1500 ESP do the same thing? I want remote start as well?

3 Guages
TTM
APCM
ISSPRO Guages
DIS Guages
A Pillar

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Re: Gauges and options

Bassman,
3gauges-Folks are talking about a 3 gauge system such as a pyrometer to monitor the EGT exhaust gas temp of the engine, Boost gauge to monitor the PSI pounds per square inch of turbo boost, and a Transmission temperature gauge for monitoring the transmission fluid temperature.
TTM- This is a "Black Box' item to let the truck continue to run even after you have left it locked up so it cools the turbo seals and bearings after a hard run or a quick exit from the truck. The Pyrometer mentioned above does the same thing if you watch it when you park the truck. I always make sure our "PRE" turbo mounted pryo is at or below 300 degrees before I shut the truck off.
Apcm- This is a Ford or aftermarket device that idles the truck at elevated rpms if you leave the truck running alot when you're on the phone or maybe taking a nap. If you never leave the truck idling for more than 10 minutes don't worry about it.
Isspro gaughes this is a brand of gauges just like our Western Diesel Performance line of gauges. Just like Ford is a brand.
DIS gauges- This is a place and a good one too to buy accessories and parts for your truck, we like to think of ourselves as a good place too!
Apillar- this is the mounting location most folks use to mount their gauges . It's a plastic overlay that fits on the A pillar of the truck. That's the area to the far left of the front windshield like the one on the far left that has a grab handle on it. it has a location for one to three gauges in it depending on what you decide you want to have. Hope this answers you needs if we can help call us at 888-621-4006.
