That's Ford's way of saying that they appreciate your business. It also tells me that they could trim a little more fat off of the dealer invoice price. Sounds like a pretty good gift.
Do the chairs say Ford on them?.
When we bought our Aerostar way back when they sent us a nice set of headphones to use in the rear headphone jacks.
You spend that much money you ought to get a trip somewhere (Disney World?)!

I bought my Excursion in October of '99 and all I've gotten so far are requests from Ford to buy insurance and extended warranties. The dealer calls once a month to beg me to bring the Beast into their facility for service (forsaking all others).
You mentioned Ford sent the chairs. It wasn't the dealer?
No chairs for me... Took delivery of my Limited PSD Toreador Red Excursion in October. But I still have the chairs from my '97 F150 Lariat & My '99 XLT Explorer.

Thats kewl...I was wondering about something like that. I got two pieces of luggage with my Eddie Bauer Bronco I bought in '99. Did you have to do anything to recieve the chairs? I would hope they would do something after I spent all that money.

No chairs here either. I bought my Limited back in November.
I got nothing with my '97 or '98 F-150's - I would have loved one of those 50th anniversary F-150 jackets, or the folding chairs others were getting. The dealer told me I didn't buy them during the right months to get the goodies.
My lucks been somewhat better with the Explorers - Ford sent me a complete set of Eddie Bauer luggage after I bought our '92 EB. After I bought our '98 EB, I heard that Ford was sending out luggage again, but none arrived. I finally called the dealer and they gave me a number for Eddie Bauer. EB told me the luggage was never shipped because the dealership had never sent in the proper forms. They were good enough to send me the luggage anyways after I gave them my VIN (only one bag this time!).
Perhaps it's a similar problem with the Excursion? If the dealer doesn't fill out the forms, you don't get the goodies?
I think I'll give my dealer a call on Monday to see what I can find out...

Got my chairs today! ordered my psd limited 08/20/99 and took delivery 10/22/99. Got chairs for '97 F150 and 2000 Explorer Limited also.
