Re: Got my proline roof basket today!

Typically I save the digital photos I take to either CD or harddisk then I upload em to my webshots account then copy/paste my webshots album public url then add it to my signiature.

If you need additional help PM me with your AOL/Yahoo IM name or phone and we'll get you set up.

BILL

I got the basket with the 20' extension...

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this correct? or is it supposed to be 20"? I thought the length of our Xs was ~20-21'? So the rack runs the entire length of the vehicle? I am sure the pics will make it clear to me.

Re: Got my proline roof basket today!

It is a 20" extension!(funny)I looks good but a little high with the Thule load bars.It is ashame that I couldn't use the oem bars for it.What a bad design,I don't know what Ford was thinking.Joe M.

The only reasonable conclusion would be to keep them fitting under garage doors. But it still doesn't make it right.

Re: Got my proline roof basket today!

Joe,

Did you ever take a picture of your installed roof rack? I went to the link to your pictures from your first post, but none of them show the rack. I would like to see how it looks if you wouldn't mind.

Thanks,

Phil

Re: Got my proline roof basket today!

I will try to get on it ASAP.It is a nice product for the price.I wish I could have used the OEM cross bars to keep the height & cost down a bit.

Re: Got my proline roof basket today!

Joe,

, CHPMustang is correct, nobody means to be hounding you. I just scanned through a bunch of posts and saw this one and was interested. I was kind of...unfulfilled by not seeing the end product.

Kathy actually likes the look of lifts, big tires, etc., and the rack interests her. The only question she had was - can I still park in the parking garages when I take the occaisional trip to town? When I said I doubted it, she said "OK, I still like that stuff." She's a keeper.

My SD with a Con Ferr roof rack will not fit in any parking garage I have come across. Not even a close fit!!
