Got the new badge!

Got the new badge and put it on. It looks curved in the photo but its not, just a crappy camera. For those who want one to put on the rear door as I did, a word of caution. The door is curved (unrelated to optical contusion in pic), the badge is flat. You need to do some slight bending to make it fit. Thanks to Steve (MaXRSmart) for the excellent work. Now I need 2 more for the fenders, which are on the way .

Re: Got the new badge!

Just some info, I was on the ground floor with the first order of these and got them from Maxrsmart. Someone else pushed for the design and he made them per the specs. They are AWSOME. Took off the old ones with dental floss (he includes the instructions for removal/install)and put the new ones on with minimal work (All 3 for about 1.5 hrs!) He made PSD Limited and Powerstroke V8 versions. I put the Powerstroke 's on the fenders in place of the factory emblems and took off all the rear emblems to install the new PSD Limited version. PM Maxrsmart direct to place an order..YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY AND THANKS TO STEVE!!!!

Re: Got the new badge!

I'll throw in a guess of the $20-30 range apiece but they are very sharp, shiny too

Nahhh, they're not plastic

For two custom badges it was about 150 bucks for me, if you wanted three customs it'd be probably around 200+ bucks. If you want ones that Steve already has designed, IE not custom, they are a tad less. I don't remember the exact numbers but i know for sure they weren't 30 bucks each,

The stock ford plastic badges go for about $30 though.

Re: Got the new badge!

I think they were $35-$40 unpainted. I'm no artist so I had Steve prepaint mine, so they were $50 each plus shipping. A little pricey but well worth it considering the result and effort that was put in them. These are a good 1/4" aluminum that are machined on a CNC, polished and hand painted, adhesive preapplied. Now if you want the complete custom route then they would cost more. Shoot Steve an email and get it strait from the horses mouth. maxrsmart@cox.net Im installing an above ground pool now but once Im done Ill take more pics and post them.

Re: Got the new badge!

Yup, they're "6160 billet aluminum that has been extruded". I haven't really done anything to mine except wash them and they still look brand new. Steve recommends a coat of wax to keep them looking good.

Here are the rates...

$35 for an unpainted badge
$50 for a painted badge

If you want something custom you have to pay the $75 setup and programming fee. Also, if you want painted custom badges there is a one time $25 fee to cover the time it takes to make the custom masks.

So IE, if you want 3 custom unpainted badges, it would be...
$75+$35+$35+$35 = $180

If you want 3 custom painted badges, it would be...
$75+$25+$50+$50+$50 = $250

Remember you can paint them yourself though...

I think that's right...

Re: Got the new badge!

Are these coated as well? I am just wondering how they will hold up in the winter (for those of us that live in areas with allot of salt).
