Got VIN number, want meaning.

I've played around with the search facilities here. They don't seem to work well at all. I also searched on the net a bit, but that was only partially frutful.

My new VIN is 1FMSU45Px4Exxxxxx. Obviously, I'm not filling in the 'x's for you. So far, I think:

If someone could confirm the missing bits, it looks like I could be picking this up next week. Heh. I don't know the build dates yet ... or what's on the door jamb. I assume that it's still in transit.

U45 is an EB 4x4 X.

The 6.0 is engine 99P, so the P means a 6.0

W — 10,001-14,000 pounds GVWR with driver and front passenger air bags
X — 14,001-16,000 pounds GVWR with driver and front passenger air bags
A — 16,001-19,500 pounds GVWR with driver and front passenger air bags
H — 8,501-9,000 pounds GVWR, without air bags (Mexico)
J — 9,000-10,000 pounds GVWR, without air bags (Mexico)

The ninth VIN position is a government assigned, computer-generated check digit.

The tenth VIN position is the model year code.

The eleventh VIN position is the assembly plant code.

M — Cuautitlan (Cuautitlan, Mexico)

The last six VIN positions are an alphanumeric code for the vehicle build sequence. This is also the vehicle serial and warranty number.
