Re: Harpooning Tank Needed On An '05 PSD X?
[ QUOTE ]
I know this discussion has come up a lot, but I could not successfully find them in the archives.
First question, does this still need to be done on an '05 psd X, or did they finally start fixing the problem?
If it still needs to be done, a link with good directions and possible pics would be appreciated?
[/ QUOTE ] There was never a problem, it's designed this way for safety reasons. The fuel tank pickups for the 6.0s are different so nothing is needed to be done to them. You can chop off around 3/4 of a inch of the tank vent. It only helps in getting slightly more fuel in the tank and shaves off a few minutes when the tank is nearly full. The X is by far one of the easiest vehicle to get the fuel tank out of but do it when near empty.
