Help to change DVD region 1 to region 2 or delete all.

Finally my X has arrived to Sweden, it took 3 month from ordering until arrival at the harbour. Now it is only 2 weeks with registration and paper work until I can drive it, YIIPPIEE, YIIPPIEEEE I’m having a hard time to wait. Now to my problem, I picket up the owner’s guide from the beauty yesterday. According to owners manuals The DVD installed in the car can only play region 1 DVD ( US and Canadian) I need to make it region free or change to region 2 (Europe). Can anybody HELP???
I’m almost on my own in Sweden with an Excursion, F**D Europe don’t import US made cars to Sweden. (Perhaps is there 10 – 15 Excursions here)

Welcome to the club! As for changing the region of the player, you may be somewhat out of luck. I think your best bet will be to take apart the player when you get it and see who the manufacturer of the player is. You can contact them and ask if the region can be changed. With many players, it is hard-coded into the electronics. Worst-case, you may have to replace the player with a local version.
