Help with Fuel Filter Swap (PLEASE)

Dealer wants almsot $200 to put in a new fuel filter and I know that I can do it with a little guidance.

My question to you all. What is the part number for the Fuel Filter and if you could post pics of where it is (in the engine bay) and what is the basic procedure and any tips in swapping it out, that too would be greatly appreciated. I swung by Checkers and they did not even have a listing for a Fuel Filter for the 6.0 PSD Fuel Filter much less the oil filter.

Please help out a fellow PSD owner.

Thanks in advance,
~Andy

Re: Help with Fuel Filter Swap (PLEASE)

Check out the FAQ link off of the main 'thedieselstop' home page. It tells you how to service nearly everything on your truck.

Re: Help with Fuel Filter Swap (PLEASE)

I am not sure if it is or not but maybe check your owners manual. I know that a 6.5L Diesel Suburban that I used to have had very detailed instructions on changing the fuel filter. Just a thought.
