My 2005 EX has 6400 miles on it. The coolant reservoir seems to be leaking. The coolant level is low and white residue is evident around the outside of the tank. Anyone else have this problem? What needs to be done to resolve this. Thanks for the help!

You may have "PUKING" 6.0
Common on some with chips and such worse in 03 04 has to do with the head gaskets and studs as I understand it.
Head over to the 6.0 forum do a search for puking and you will learn more than you want to know I think, might give you some do's and don'ts as far as talking with your dealer about it.

Sounds like the warranty route would be the way to go.
FWIW, my 2001 did this. Around the seams of the tank, the plastic looked like it had glitter embedded in places, when in fact they were tiny stress cracks. Smearing silicon gasket sealer over the "glitter" proved to be a temporary fix until I could get a replacement shipped.
I considered the warranty route, but with 80,000 miles on the odo, the $100 deductible (100,000 mile warranty) was steeper than the $50 I spent for a OEM replacement from a Ford dealer on the internet. Plus I don't trust anyone else to lay a wrench to my truck.
It appeared that when my truck reached full operating temp, it was just enough pressure to start a slow leak. And of course, when the coolant dried, all that was left was a white residue.
There is a FMC recall thing out for the labeling on the overflow tank. The scale on the tank is wrong and when filled as labeled most will overflow. Dealers are to relabel tanks when trucks are in for service. I would check with dealer and see if this is your issue.
