Here's the breakdown on the '02 Excursion Limited Ultimate PSD 4x4 that I ordered

O.K. everyone, here is the breakdown for the 2002 Excursion Limited Ulitmate PSD 4x4 i ordered the other day. If any other NJ members can get or got a better price on their new Excursion Limited Ultimate, let me know.
First I went back to the dealer that I bought my 2001 F-350 PSD and got a price on exactly what I wanted. Then I went to 3 other dealers to do the same, only to return to my original dealer because he (my sales guy) offered the best deal on an ordered '02 model.

The numbers:
$ 48,385.00 MSRP
$ 42,476.00 Invoice
$ 43,390.81 F*rd-Direct Price
$ 41,965.14 X-Plan price
$ 69.00 Ford Bug Shield
$ 89.00 Ford Window Vent Visors
$ 199.00 5-year Window Etching
$ 50.00 Motor Vehicle Fee
$ 95.00 Dealer Documentation Fee
$ 2,539.33 NJ Sales Tax (6%)
-----------
$ 45,006.47 Total Price

Options & Configuration:
U43 4x4 Limited
FL Toreador Red
LH Leather Parchment Front Captains Chairs
430A Limited Series
99F Diesel
449 Auto Transmission
XC1 3.73:1 Limited Slip Rear Differential
60L Ultimate Group
B3A Limited Luxury Package
153 License Plate Bracket
54T Heated Telescoping Power T.T. Mirrors w/ Signal
581 AM/FM/6-Disc changer stereo

If I had paid (TTL and dealer add-ons included):
MSRP: $51,811.52
F*rd Direct: $46,517.68
Usual dealer price: $46,077.98 ($500 over invoice)

All in all, the X-Plan saved me a total of approximately $1,071.51, which to me is a good amount of cash, so I guess it was worth the $40.00 membership fee to the join the EAA.
