Anybody figured out a relatively simple way to modify the system, so that the fog lights will stay on even when the high beams are energized??
Thanks

Unfortunately, his fix is for a 2002 Super Duty. In looking at his wiring diagram and comparing it to the 2001 CD it's obvious that there's a ton of difference. That's why I asked here.
The two wiring diagrams aren't even similar.

Not hard at all and it only took me about 10 minutes. The modification only requires the installation of a short jumper wire that connects two of your headlight switch wires together. I used a two of the scotch-loc (blue suitcase) style connectors. Problem is, I can't find the write up for the wire colors. I will keep looking and let you know if I come across it. If I can't find it here at work, I will pull my switch when I get home tonight.
Later, Toolman1
OK...I think I found it. This is the abbreviated version.
1) Remove the headlight switch panel
2) Using two scotch-loc (suitcase style) connectors and a short (6") piece of 12 GA stranded wire, connect the BROWN and BLACK/WHITE wires together. These wires are located on the large, 12 Pin connector.
3) Reinstall headlight switch.
Found this doing a search in the archives. If you want, I can verify the colors when I get home tonight.
Thanks Toolman, appreciate the efforts. Were you able to verify the colors?
In looking at the wiring diagram, it seems that jumping those two wires would turn the fogs on whenever the headlights were turned on.
Is this true?

No, that is not true. What it does is provide power to the fog light relay anytime the parking lights are on. Which means you can now use the fog lights with just the parking lgihts on (not possibel before) and you can use them with your high beam headlights no (alos not possible before).
No I have not verified the colors and can not until later tonight.
Thanks again. As always, your help is greatly appreciated!!
One more question. What's the best way to get the switch assembly out? Without damage that is. I don't believe I've ever seen one pulled out.

Did they make a change on the ability to run driving lights and running lights only. For the heck of it I turned the running lights on last night and pulled on the driving lights and they came on. Our 01' would not do this.
Okay, killed the ability for the driving lights to remain on when I pull the headlights to highbeam. Installed SilverStar 9005 in driving lights this afternoon, now the driving lights go out when I pull the highs on, what gives?
