Hook on dash ?

OK, I'm going to be a goodin (bonehead)! What is the plastic "hook" underneath the slideout cupholder on my Fords ? Other half is catching on that I haven't a clue, and my educated guesses are not cutting it with her.

Re: Hook on dash ?

evalution..sp.........a few years ago it was an ashtray....when the cupholder in dash a few years ago kept spilling drinks they changed it to a better cup holder with ash tray in the center. hence no longer needed ashtray below......we get a useless hook....

Re: Hook on dash ?

I hang my other keyring on it.

It's too low to carry much of a trash bag.

Re: Hook on dash ?

It's to hang the plastic garbage bag, to catch the baby wipes when you clean the leather stering wheel. It fills quickly!!! Guy
