has anybody gotten this done? I'm wanting to order but don't want the leather (two kids and big dog), but only available in leather on the eddie bauer (limited no longer available in red) I would appreciate any ideas, I'm in oregon and haven't been able to work it out with a dealer yet,x plan too!

Hope you can get this done. I've been trying to get a lariet with cloth since 1998. My latest brainstorm is to order the lariet with leather and buying replacement cloth covers from Ford. I sure would like Ford to offer cloth as an option for those of us that don't like leather.

I have seen this mentioned before and am confused. I have 3 kids and a 95# dog, I would not have anything but leather. Any spills are easy to clean up they don't soak in, and my dog has not hurt a thing. (In my Wifes Expedition, then her Excursion and also my Truck). Just curious why people think that way.
And BTW, I can't figure out why the dropped the red in the limited either. Guess I will have to get a Eddie Bauer when we replace hers.

Its good to hear the leather is durable, we are worried about the dog and kids poking holes in it. The heated seats one could get used to,as iv'e seen in previous posts one can get tired of the kids climbing over the seats with muddy shoes thats why i think the captains chairs would be better.

I totally agree, However, I have several situations where we need the extra seat, so I just put a large towel under the car seats and another one over the seat back, (color matched of course) for the "climbing over" issue. Has worked pretty good, thankfully we graduated my twins out of the car seats recently so we can use the fold down feature. Another option would be a car temporary seat cover, my brother did that in his Denali. Good luck, you will love the truck, it is great for families (plus looks much more manly than a Minivan (NO OFFENSE TO ANY OWNERS, I just don't like them).

Were happy with our xlt but ford will not allow us to order four captains chairs in the xlt this only leaves eb or limited, red is only xlt or eb go figure vic

I love my leather, but I have to admit the kids (I have 3) climbing over the seats whenever we take anyone else (my mom goes with us a lot) is a pain. I agree with you that I would much rather have the captains chairs in the middle, you would only lose one seat anyway.
I would like to find 2 captain chairs in grey leather for mine.
We have the bench second row and somtimes fold down the right side mid seat for the "pass thru" also a good place for the dog to sit or lay.
My little guy (12)never keeps his shoes on for more than a few minutes on a trip so the crawing over is no big deal.
