I fixed it for a nickle

this is for the parents and grand parents of young kids in the crowd

the past few days our radio on certain bumps or around corners would switch to the CD and then back to FM (with no CD in the slot)I finally took a look at it this past weekend and low and behold after creating tools to hold the felt out of the way to allow me to peer in, i see it hey what the? that's a nickle sitting in there!

I wrapped some duct tape sticky side out around a thin knife and fished it out. all's well now.

Kids! you gotta love em

Re: I fixed it for a nickle

Sounds like one of the single CD/cassette combos,I had the same thing occur with our 99.5 F250 Thanks to my now 4 year old son

The six pack has an auto door on them now

Re: I fixed it for a nickle

yep, that's the one!

I'm hoping the lift kit and tires will put the door handles out of reach for a few more years. i cant stand to lock it all the time just sitting in the driveway.

BTW he'll be 4 in may and the middle one 2 in Dec.

my buddy Wyatt doesnt cause any trouble yet, he's only 2 mos.old

Re: I fixed it for a nickle

Your guys are bout the same age as our's as Brian just turned 2 in Aug and Billy 4 this coming Monday the 13th

One likes to drive and the other plays shotgun but both love all the knobs, buttons, radios and gadgetry in the Excursion,it's the handprints on the windows that cracks me up sometimes

So far so good no CD player piggy bank yet

BILL
